An ex-Navy seal, his girlfriend and their friends head out on a road trip to New Orleans. A group of flippant young people (notable this time for including marine vets) ventures into the Louisiana bayou, where they make the mistake of piquing the interest of some locals (note to self: whilst on the back roads of the South, do not stop at a ramshackle store called "Chopper's"). While searching for the legend of a Bigfoot-like swamp fiend, the six nubile travelers endure the nightmare of their lives, mostly arranged around muddy campgrounds and underground beast lairs. Fred M. Andrews's film isn't notable for much more than its copious nudity and gore, but it does have a couple of passable plot revelations, and veteran B-movie heavy Sid Haig (Spider Baby, The Devil's Rejects) gets to deliver his brand of sinister patter to potent effect.
